My Job

I am here in Chicago because my job moved from Connecticut.  It is a great job for what I do and it provides me and my family financial security.  The biggest downside of my job is that I am away from my amazing kids.

I started here in Chicago officially on December 3, 2012.  I started with my job in Connecticut in May 2011.

My job gave me a raise and a bonus.  They really appreciate what I do.  I need to stay with my company for at least another year to be fully vested in my retirement plan.  This will certainly help me not to be a burden to my kids.

Creation

Well, this is my first post of many.  I created this blog for my amazing kids to read one day so they can get an idea of what their father was thinking while he was an Expat in Chicago.  I will write about many things in a very candid and open manner.  I hope you enjoy reading this one day.  I love you so much Sarah and Jayson.  You two are the most amazing things that ever happened to me.  Better than anything in the whole world.
